HR SYSTEM
THE SITUATION
A growing creative company had no centralized system for managing employee information, onboarding, or time off.
Employee data lived across emails, documents, and memory. Time-off requests were handled informally, and onboarding varied from hire to hire.
As the team grew, this created inconsistency and made it difficult to track employee status, documents, and internal processes.
THE PROBLEM
No single source of truth for employee information
Inconsistent onboarding experience
No structured time-off tracking
Documents scattered across folders and inboxes
Increasing reliance on the founder for basic HR coordination
WHAT I BUILT
I designed a lightweight HR system to centralize employee data, standardize onboarding, and create clear internal structure without adding unnecessary complexity.
System included:
Centralized employee directory
Structured onboarding checklist
Time-off tracking system
Document tracking for key employee files
Simple performance tracking framework
THE RESULT
Clear, centralized employee records
Consistent onboarding experience for new hires
Visibility into time off and availability
Reduced back-and-forth on internal coordination
A scalable system that can evolve with the team
KEY FEATURES
Clean, centralized employee database
Standardized onboarding workflow
Simple PTO and sick day tracking
Organized document tracking (contracts, forms, etc.)
Lightweight structure without overcomplication
